{"id":53,"date":"2026-05-11T21:33:19","date_gmt":"2026-05-11T19:33:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/watuqrimanka.org\/en\/?page_id=53"},"modified":"2026-05-20T14:05:34","modified_gmt":"2026-05-20T18:05:34","slug":"introduction","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.watuqrimanka.org\/en\/awat\/introduction\/","title":{"rendered":"Introduction"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>TAWA<\/strong> is the chapter with which this Willakuy begins, and it starts with the number four, because that is where consciousness and memories begin to awaken, take root, and grow\u2014where we begin to leave childhood behind and start to develop and mature in accordance with who we truly are inside.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify wp-block-paragraph\">TAWA is the number with which Andean culture and many cultures of the past begin; that is why this culture is also called \u201cTAWA-INTI-SUYUCHU,\u201d a numerical sequence that summarizes the four movements of \u201cTaytaInti\u201d and the four movements of \u201cMamaKilla,\u201d whose movements of \u201cLight\u201d and \u201cshadow\u201d combine in the \u201cgeometric\u201d figure of the octagon, which gives us awareness of the movements of the octaves or the \u201coc-tawas,\u201d the movement of the eights or the kuchas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify wp-block-paragraph\">The Qhychwa terms suyu or suyus refer to the four major territorial divisions of Andean culture, which were grouped into their various provinces or huamanis (in Quechua: wamani).
